ISO 9001 for Oil and Gas Industry

- ISO 19901-1: Petroleum and natural gas industries – Specific requirements for offshore structures – Part 1: Metocean design and operating considerations: This standard provides guidelines for the design, construction, and maintenance of offshore structures in the oil and gas industry, taking into account the effects of the environment on these structures.
- ISO 14692: Petroleum and natural gas industries – Glass-reinforced plastics (GRP) piping – Part 1: Vocabulary, symbols, applications and materials: This standard covers the use of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) piping in the oil and gas industry, providing guidelines for material selection, design, and installation.
Overall, ISO 9001 can be applied to the oil and gas industry, but there are additional requirements and guidelines specific to this industry that can be incorporated into a QMS based on ISO 9001. API and ISO have developed several standards that are specific to the oil and gas industry, covering quality management, offshore structures, and materials selection for piping systems.
